Action potentials elicited by a current pulse of 500 pA.
The current was directed out of the sensillum and into the
amplifier, so it hyperpolarizes the dendrite of the ORNs, but
depolarizes the membrane behind the zones of septate junctions.
This, together with the polarity of the action potentials,
indicates that they are not generated at the dendrite, but at the
soma or axon.
